Mother's Day Tea

Molly's 1st Grade class had a Mother's Day Tea for their moms. It was very nice.  They served us muffins, watermelon and drinks.  Then we watched a special slideshow of pictures of the kids with their moms.  The kids each made a special placemat for their mom too.  Molly's said, "Happy Mother's day. Mom, Your'e like a cup of tea to me because...you help me with my homework and love me a lot." On the back was a recipe for a terrific mom.

"How To Make A Terrific Mom, created with love by: Molly Fairbanks.
Ingredients:
1. grate diners
2. giveing me cake
3. good attitude
4. let me stay up late
5. yummy lunches
6. good

Procedure:
This is my resipe on how to make a wonderful mom! First, you add 90 spoonfuls greate diners. Next, you mix in giving me cake. Then, you put in 10 dashes of good attitude. Now, you put 100 tablespoons of let me stay up late in. After that, stir in yummy lunches. Now, but in a handful of good breakfast in. It's now time to bake! Bake it for 1 hour. That is how you make a wonderful MOM!!"

How super-cute is that?!  I'll have to take a photo and post it.  The kids sang a song about mailing themselves to you (we'll see if the video will post). And that was it!  A special Mother's Day celebration with the kids.  Molly was thrilled that I was able to leave her sisters at home and focus just on her.  What a special treat it is to be her mom.

Ah! What a darling girl and a smart recipe! Just like her mother - tosses together what she has and the outcome is perfection!
Love you and yours.
