We left Napili this morning at 3 AM to head out to Haleakala to watch the sunrise. We got there just in time to see the first twilight. Then we did the quick .4 mile hike up to Pa Ka'oao to see the sun come up over the clouds. It was amazingly beautiful. You can see how windy it was - and it was really, really cold too (Matt let me share his sweatshirt with him), but totally worth every second.
